Some of us fail to realize our sense of
purpose — lost in materialism or worrying what others expect us to be.
But a few perceive a glimpse of truth — what each soul is intended to
be. This is the journey of the hero and it is a wonderful journey. Each
one of us has the potential to create our own mythology in which we
follow the hero's path and ultimately face the divine.
Each one of us is a mythic hero with
the gift of life as our boon. Our choices make the richness of that boon
apparent. What choices will you make in this life to realize bliss in
the here-and-now? At what point will you leave selfish decisions behind
and realize your part in the grand universe?
To follow your bliss is not
specifically "to be happy" which is essentially a "me" thing; it goes
beyond that definition.
Rather, BLISS is to lose yourself fully
in what you are meant to be — even while there is difficulty and pain.
When you are truly following your bliss, you have no sense of time, but
instead are actually touching the eternal.
Whether it be writing, teaching,
running, building, performing, painting... only you can fill in the
blank defining bliss for your own life - Find IT! Do IT! Be IT!
…If you do follow your bliss,
you put yourself on a track that has been there all the while,
waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one
you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who
are in the field of your bliss, and they open doors to you. I say
follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you
didn’t know they were going to be.
